This picture was obviously taken at Target. Everyone knows the Target symbol, but I enjoy capturing only part of a shape knowing the viewer will be able to connect the lines with their minds.
I saw WB Yeats' poem Embroidered Cloths scrawled onto a shower curtain. a) It looked cool, and b) this is my favorite poem - how awesome is it that it was the one I found? I just felt compelled to take the shot and the lighting worked out quite well too.
The eery light cast by the streetlamp gave the tree a ghostly shine in the night. It was also fun having to catch up with my friends as they walked to the car while I paused to take the picture.
The square shape of the barstool cushions were unique. The noises added to my interest in the setting. In the background, I could hear the quiet sound of conversations and the tinkling of laughter.
Mom's purple shirt hung at the car window. The bright color caught my attention, and I think the greenery outside the window helps bring out an innocence in this on-the-road picture.
